For over 80 years Royal Voluntary Service has served local communities all over Great Britain. Volunteers have been essential to their work and Voices of Volunteering has collected their stories of citizenship and service, which would otherwise have remained hidden. Here you will find some of the unique and inspiring tales told by volunteers in their own words in these Citizenship Resources for students age 14+.
The resources are complete one hour lesson plans in the form of a PowerPoint and are intended to be used through Key Stage Three and above with reference to the Citizenship statutory National Curriculum subject. The resources also support the AQA 2016 GCSE Citizenship specification and volunteering for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
